Here is a recipe for a refreshing hibiscus iced tea:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups dried hibiscus flowers
  • 8 cups water
  • 1/2 cup sugar (or to taste)
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • Ice cubes

Instructions:

  • Bring the water to a boil in a large pot.
  • Add the dried hibiscus flowers and simmer for 5-10 minutes until the water turns a rich red colour.
  • Remove the pot from the heat and stir in the sugar until it is completely dissolved.
  • Add the lemon slices and let the tea steep for another 5 minutes.
  • Strain the tea through a fine sieve to remove the hibiscus flowers and lemon slices.
  • Allow the tea to cool and then place it in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours.
  • Serve the hibiscus iced tea with ice cubes and enjoy!

Tip: If you like, you can also refine the tea with fresh mint leaves or ginger pieces.
