Dried shrimps are ideal for seasoning African sauces. The shrimp can be put whole in the sauce or crushed into powder.
Shrimp has excellent nutritional value. It is rich in vitamins and minerals: niacin, vitamin B12, phosphorus, selenium and is a source of protein. Also, they are very low in fat.
Dried shrimps can be useful for the Gouagouassou sauce, a typical Baoule recipe. But also for the Gnangnan sauce or the Baouleé sauce and the Kleglésou sauce made from dried okra.
