Essential oil

The clove tree is a small tree that grows in Indonesia, China and Madagascar. It has evergreen leaves and red flowers or flower buds that are shaped like nails, hence the name "clove". From the fourth century onwards, cloves became a spice in the West. Cloves belong to the same family as eucalyptus. It is a slow growing tree.

Clove essential oil comes from steam distillation of dried cloves. Clove essential oil is characterised by a high content of natural eugenol.Organic clove essential oil is Ecocert CH-BIO-006 certified.

EFFECTS

- The oil has a disinfectant effect on the skin and has proven effective on superficial skin wounds, for example, abrasions, insect bites, festering wounds and even warts.

- Clove oil also helps with flatulence and diarrhoea, and generally with gastrointestinal complaints.

- It stimulates our brain, for example when we have to do long and hard mental work, for example in exam times, where it helps us to concentrate better on tasks

- Synergy with the following oils: Wintergreen, Ravintsara, Grapefruit, Lemon

APPLICATIONS

- Recommended dosage (according to current European regulations): 1 to 2 drops per kg or per litre of food preparation.

- A few drops in a suitable diffuser

PRECAUTIONS

• Photosensitising essential oil: do not expose to the sun after use
• Wash your hands before and after using essential oils
• Do not use on pregnant women in the first 3 months of pregnancy
• Breastfeeding women: ask your doctor for advice
• Must not be used on babies and children under 7 years of age
• Do not leave essential oil bottles within reach of children
