Smoked herring is a daily migratory fish that can dive several hundred metres in search of plankton. Herring are predators. Young herring feed on copepods and crustaceans. Adults feed on fish (gobies, flatfish etc.) and various invertebrates. The herring has a slender body with a greenish-brown to dark blue colour on its back, while its belly has a silvery tinge. The lower jaw of the herring is slightly protruding.

The origin of the product is Cameroon.

Recipe for stir-fried rice

This recipe is one of the favourite dishes of African families.

Take a quantity of rice and put it on a plate. Cut up the condiments (parsley, celery, pepper, onion, and tomato into fruits)

Crush pigment, garlic, a little ginger, white pepper.

Clean the smoked fish (bifaka).

Put a pot on the fire, add oil of your choice and heat it up, add salt, then the necessary cut up and crushed fish and stir it all.

Add fish and rice and stir for 1 to 2 minutes on low heat, then add water according to our rice and cover the pot.

Let it cook for a few minutes, then open the pot and taste the sanitation until the rice is cooked.
