Oregano is a plant related to marjoram, but its virtues are different. It grows mainly in the Mediterranean region.

Oregano essential oil is presented in many books as a natural antibiotic: It has a broad spectrum (i.e. it acts on many germs), but unlike conventional antibiotics, it leaves the "good" bacteria that the body needs in place and respects the skin and intestinal flora.

Oregano essential oil is known for its many properties: antibacterial, fungicidal, antiparasitic, antiviral, immunostimulant, antidepressant, tonic and generally stimulating. It is the most antiseptic of all essential oils!

It is used to decongest the respiratory tract and ease digestion, to fight certain skin problems such as herpes, shingles, to fight many digestive, urinary or gynaecological infections.

This oil should be used with caution. (See precautions for use).
