Essential oil
Basil essential oil has a fresh, herbaceous scent reminiscent of aniseed and tarragon.Its taste is slightly sweet and fruity and goes very well with certain desserts, herbal teas, but also with pasta or green vegetables.Basil is a hardy aromatic plant with fragrant foliage. It is found in sunny areas.
Basil can also be grown in pots. Its small leaves are often used as a herb in Mediterranean cooking. In some countries, basil is boiled to drink as an infusion. 1.5 kg of essential basil oil is obtained from 1 ton of basil.

Use
- Recommended dosage (according to current European regulations): 1 to 2 drops per kg or per litre of food preparation.
- A few drops in a suitable diffuser
PRECAUTIONS
- Photosensitising essential oil: do not expose to the sun after use
- Wash your hands before and after using essential oils
- Do not use on pregnant women in the first 3 months of pregnancy
- Breastfeeding women: ask your doctor for advice
- Must not be used on babies and children under 7 years of age
- Do not leave essential oil bottles within reach of children
