ESSENTIAL OIL

Lemon essential oil exudes a fresh fragrance that underlines its stimulating effect. Its tart, lemony flavour enhances drinks and sorbets, confectionery and pastries. It is used in both sweet and savoury preparations.

The lemon tree belongs to the rue family and grows mainly in warm regions such as the Mediterranean, Sicily, Italy, Egypt... It is a tree about 6 m high that produces green lemon fruits that turn yellow when ripe. Lemon essential oil is obtained by cold pressing the peel of the yellow lemons.
