ESSENTIAL OIL
Patchouli is a tropical aromatic plant that belongs to the botanical family of mints, lavenders and rosemary. Its name means "green leaf" in Tamil. Patchouli grows mainly in Indonesia but also in Malaysia and the Philippines.
The essential oil of patchouli is obtained by distilling its leaves. It has an intense, woody and slightly spicy scent.

EFFECTS
Lift the spirits: in aromatherapy, patchouli is used to relieve anxiety, sleep disorders and to reduce stress
The oil is also said to have a balancing effect on the female hormonal system and to have aphrodisiac properties
A powerful antioxidant, it protects cells from oxidative stress and fights free radicals. Antioxidants also support the body in the renewal of cells
APPLICATION
Recommended dosage (according to current European regulations) :
Cooking: 1 to 2 drops per 2 kg or per 2 litres of preparation
PRECAUTIONS
- Essential oil of photo-sensitization: Do not expose to the sun after use
- Wash your hands before and after using essential oils
- Do not use in pregnant women during the first 3 months of pregnancy
- Breastfeeding women: ask your doctor for advice
- Not to be used on babies and children under 7 years old
- Do not leave bottles of essential oil within the reach of children.
