Essential oil

Bergamot essential oil has similar properties to other citrus essential oils. It is known for its digestive properties: antispasmodic, carminative, laxative, but also for its calming, sleepy, soothing and balancing properties.

  • Bergamot is the mixture of a bitter orange and a lime.
  • Bergamot peel is used to flavour the famous Earl Grey tea.
  • It is extracted from the peel, it takes about 100 kg for 500 g of essential oil.

This very acidic fruit is a citrus fruit and its oil is therefore sensitive to light. Known as an antibacterial, antiseptic, stimulating, skin regenerating oil, this oil is used for digestive disorders, but also for skin problems such as acne, tissue weakness.
