Mbongo is a traditional Cameroonian dish from the country of the bassas. It takes its name from the spice which composes it. The preparation of this powder is very long and difficult: it takes a whole day to burn and mix the herbs and which compose it, the mbongo (wild pepper from Cameroon) and the omi (bark of the garlic tree).
Composition: slices, Penja white pepper, baby or African nutmeg, Ndjansang or Akpi, and hiomi.
